Grand Echelon: Bits and Pieces
1.FINAL CALL. As per NatCon agreement, the deadline for comments and changes in the draft GE/GLE Constitution and By-Laws (CBL) as attached in the File menu of TGE, is January 20, 2007. After that, the interim national council shall adopt the draft for eventual ratification in the zonal Summer Camps (April-May). And if there will be no changes in the draft by January 20, then the CBL Committee has done their assignment. Haaay (sigh of relief).
2. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT. Thanks to all who responded to the appeal for Epsilonian Baby Rain of Bicol. According to baby’s dad Bro. Oliver Mesoga, Rain will be discharged from the hospital soon. Remember, the baby spent his first Christmas and New Year in the hospital with your support as his best Christmas gift ever. Pwede raw ba ninong at ninang daw lahat na Epsilonians?
3. It’s Election season! At least 2 brods will run for Congressman post, and 2 or 3 in Isabela as municipal councilors. Both shall be elected by their respective constituents. As there is no GE chapter in Abra, no way that a brod or sis can translate his support to Brod Syd into a vote. As to Brod Malite of Quezon province 4th district, our chapter in PUP – Lopez campus will certainly be a boost to his candidacy. Similarly, our chapters in Isabela would be a boost to our brods running in the municipalities in that province. Good luck, brethren!
4. GE as a Partylist? Not so remote possibility. But what sector shall GE represent-environment (for Green Earth), a cut above the rest (for Grand Echelon)…what have you? Remember, whatever mind conceived can be achieved.
5. May be (just maybe) NatCon is still the best thing that ever happened to GE. It’s domino-effect is far-reaching leading to the establishment of various regional/sub-regional aggrupations. The new ones include Bicol council, Capiz, Mindanao, and under brewing is GE-ARMM. Thanks to the steering efforts of the interim national council led by Brod Red.
6. GENAMEX may be far yet so near. This group of GE is ever ready to lend their helping hands, the true Epsilonian way. Like Jesus, ask GENAMEX and it shall be given unto you. Halleluai!
Happy weekends, brethren.
